Trade Import Formats: Supported Brokers and Files
Trade import formats Limbix reads: Tradovate, TradingView Paper, MetaTrader 5, IBKR, ThinkorSwim, TradeZero and any CSV, with required columns and limits.
These are the trade import formats Limbix reads. Six broker exports are recognised from their column headers, and any other CSV can be mapped by hand. Every file must be CSV or HTML, at most 10 MB on every plan, and hold futures or forex/CFD trades. Step-by-step imports are in the add-trades guide.
| Tradovate | .csv | Columns Account, B/S, Contract, avgPrice, filledQty, Fill Time and Status | The platform's orders CSV export | Auto-mapped. Filled orders become trades. Working or cancelled Stop and Limit orders become the trade's stop and target. | Commission maps to fees when present. |
| TradingView Paper Trading | .csv | Columns Symbol, Side, Type, Status and Order ID, plus Qty or Quantity, Fill Price or Price, and Closing Time or Placing Time | Order History CSV from the Paper Trading panel | Auto-mapped. | Futures and forex/CFD symbols only. |
| MetaTrader 5 | .html or .htm | Any HTML file is read as an MT5 history report | The closed orders or history report, saved as HTML | Auto-mapped. | Forex/CFD symbols must be in the instrument list. Import into a Forex / CFD account. |
| Interactive Brokers | .csv | Columns Symbol, Date/Time, Quantity and T. Price | Activity statement as CSV | Suggested mapping to review. Side and Status must be mapped before you can continue, and a plain Activity statement has neither column. A blank side is read from the sign of the quantity. | Futures and FX only. Equity trades are not imported yet. |
| ThinkorSwim | .csv | Columns DATE, TIME, SYMBOL, SIDE, PRICE and QTY | Account statement or trade history CSV | Suggested mapping to review. The fill time is read from DATE only: the TIME column isn't used, so every fill is stamped at the start of its day. BOT and SLD are read as buy and sell. | Futures and FX only. Equity trades are not imported yet. |
| TradeZero | .csv | Columns Symbol, Date, Side, Price and Shares | Trade history CSV | Suggested mapping to review. | Futures and FX only. Equity trades are not imported yet. |
| Generic CSV | .csv | Anything not recognised above | Any CSV with one row per fill or order | You map the columns on Map. Required: Symbol, Date, Side, Price, Quantity, Status. Optional: Account, Product, Order type, Stop price, Limit price, Order id, Fees / commission. | Map every required field before Continue to playbook becomes available. |
| Every file | .csv, .html, .htm | — | — | Rows with status Filled (any case) or no status count as fills. Fills are grouped per account and symbol into closed trades. | Up to 10 MB, and up to 5,000 data rows per file . Times with no offset are read in your profile timezone. Positions still open at the end of the file are shown, not imported. Symbols with no known contract size are flagged "Unsupported instrument". Re-importing never duplicates a trade. The import must also fit your plan's storage (Plans). |
