Discipline and trading psychology#

This is where the two are nearest. Edgewonk lets you "Create individual checklists for each setup" and says it "detects rule breaks and emotional trades". Its Tiltmeter lets you "See how often you break your trading rules and how disciplined you are", shown green or red over your equity curve (Tiltmeter article). It also tracks trading plans and missed trades, mistakes, and a diary for "insights, emotions, and lessons".

The difference is what you can see behind the number. We couldn't find how the Tiltmeter is calculated on Edgewonk's site. Limbix explains what goes into its Discipline Score: rules followed divided by rule checks made, then capped by a ceiling set by your Risk Score. The exact calibration of that cap is published once the method is validated. If you can't see what goes in, you can't tell whether a better reading means better behaviour.

Limbix also closes a loophole. A trade with no playbook is an impulsive trade. It's charged phantom checks, all failed, weighted like a typical trade from your own playbooks. So dropping your playbooks can never raise the score.

Limbix flags mistakes with eight automatic detectors, such as revenge trades, oversized positions and overtrading, each a fixed rule the docs explain in plain words. FOMO and a moved stop are yours to tag.

One honest limit: a written rule counts as followed unless you mark it as violated. Your playbook's risk parameters (max risk per trade, minimum R:R, max hold) are different: Risk Rule Adherence checks them from the trade itself.

Risk management#

Edgewonk is strong on risk statistics. It calls the R-multiple "a key metric in Edgewonk" and lists risk analytics, drawdown analysis, winning and losing streaks, a Trade Management Optimizer and MFE/MAE (pricing). An R-multiple is a result measured in units of the risk you planned. We found no single risk score on its site.

Limbix turns risk into one number. The Risk Score covers the last 30 days and blends four components you controlled: Risk Consistency, Loss Containment, Exposure Discipline and Risk Rule Adherence. It's anchored to your weakest one, so three good dimensions can't hide a broken fourth. Then it caps your Discipline Score. Edgewonk gives you more ways to slice the statistics. Limbix gives you a verdict and explains what went into it.

AI coach#

No AI features are listed on Edgewonk's homepage, pricing page or in its 2026 changelog. Its site mentions a paid "Journal Review Service".

Limbix includes NEX. NEX reads your trades, playbooks, check-ins and notebook, answers with your dashboard's formulas, and proposes journal changes you confirm. It never calls a market, and Limbix can't place, modify or cancel an order. Pro includes 50 requests a month, and Ultimate is unlimited (fair use). Essential has no NEX.

Prop firm tracking#

Edgewonk lets you "Track unlimited prop firm accounts" and has importers for FTMO, FundedNext, Funding Pips, The5ers, TopstepX, E8, BrightFunded and Goat Funded Trader (import). We found no drawdown or daily loss rule tracking and no payout tracking on its site.

Limbix's Prop Hub tracks the rules themselves. It seeds rules for FTMO, Topstep, Apex, FundedNext and TradeDay, among others, or you enter a custom firm. The Rule monitor marks each rule Breach, Watch or OK. The buffer-to-loss ratio shows how many of your average losses an account can take before a breach. You log fees, resets and payouts, and see ROI per firm.

Prop Hub needs Pro (up to 5 prop accounts) or Ultimate (unlimited). Edgewonk includes unlimited prop accounts in its single plan.

Import and broker sync#

Edgewonk says "Over 200 brokers are supported" and that you can import trades automatically. Most platforms use its "fast import". Live background sync is confirmed for MT5, through an Expert Advisor added in August 2026. Excel and CSV import covers unlisted platforms (import).

Limbix has no broker sync yet: broker auto-sync is coming soon. You import a file. MetaTrader 5 HTML history, Tradovate CSV and TradingView Paper Trading CSV map automatically. Interactive Brokers, ThinkorSwim and TradeZero files import their futures and FX rows only. Any other CSV maps by hand.

Edgewonk covers far more markets: forex, stocks, futures, crypto, options, indices and commodities. Limbix takes futures and forex/CFD only.

Analytics and backtesting#

Analytics are Edgewonk's core. It lists risk, drawdown and streak analytics, a Trade Management Optimizer, a performance simulator and alternative strategy testing (pricing). Its Backtester tab is a manual log of backtest trades, not chart replay (Backtester update). You can share a journal with a mentor, read-only and revocable (features).

Limbix has no backtesting, replay or sharing. Its Reports cover a period with breakdowns and a P&L calendar. Analytics drills down to the trades behind any number, maps P&L by emotion and ranks mistakes by what they cost. Each trade's price chart shows MFE and MAE.

Price#

Edgewonk has one plan: $197 a year, annual billing only, with every feature included. The pricing page says: "We do not provide a tiered system and as an Edgewonk customer, you have access to all features." On 28 September 2026 it also offered "4 months free on top" for a limited time.

There's no free plan or trial listed. Instead, Edgewonk offers a "14-day, 100% money-back guarantee".

Who Limbix is best for#

  • Futures and forex traders who want to know what their discipline score measures: what goes in, what's left out and how the parts combine.
  • Traders who want risk as a verdict, not only as a set of statistics.
  • Prop traders who want firm rules, breach distance, fees and payouts tracked in one ledger.
  • Traders who want an AI coach that reads their journal and never calls a market.

Switching from Edgewonk to Limbix#

Limbix doesn't read an Edgewonk export. Import from your platform instead. If you trade on MetaTrader 5, that's one file: the account history report saved as HTML. Your Edgewonk notes, tags, checklists and screenshots don't transfer, so keep a copy before your subscription ends.

  1. Check your markets

Limbix takes futures and forex/CFD trades only. Forex symbols must be in the instrument list.

  2. Set your timezone and account

Set your timezone in Settings › Profile. Add a Forex / CFD or futures account under Settings › Trading accounts, or create prop accounts in Prop Hub.

  3. Turn your checklists into playbooks

For each Edgewonk setup checklist, create a playbook with the same rules, each answerable yes or no. Essential allows 3 playbooks.

  4. Export from your platform

From MetaTrader 5, save the history report as HTML. Tradovate and TradingView Paper Trading CSVs also map automatically. For another platform, export a CSV with one row per fill or order. See import formats.

  5. Import and link playbooks

Open Add trades, pick the account under IMPORT INTO and drop the file. Click Continue to playbook, link each trade, then click Confirm import.

  6. Add stops where they're missing

R and most of the Risk Score need a stop. Add a stop and target where the file had none.

Importing an overlapping date range later is safe. Trades already in Limbix are skipped as duplicates.

Frequently asked questions#

Is Edgewonk worth it?#

For a trader who wants deep statistics across many markets at one flat price, it's strong value: $197 a year with every feature, and 4.7/5 from 44 reviews on Trustpilot (28 September 2026). It has no AI listed and no prop rule or payout tracking. How its Tiltmeter is calculated isn't described on its site. If those matter, compare it with Limbix.

Does Edgewonk have a monthly plan?#

No. Edgewonk sells one plan billed annually, at $197 a year, with every feature included. There's no free plan or trial listed. It offers a 14-day, 100% money-back guarantee instead. Limbix's prices aren't public yet. See Plans for what each Limbix tier includes.

What is the Edgewonk Tiltmeter?#

The Tiltmeter is Edgewonk's discipline view. Edgewonk says it lets you "See how often you break your trading rules and how disciplined you are", showing disciplined and undisciplined streaks in green and red over your equity curve. We couldn't find how it's calculated on Edgewonk's site. Limbix's Discipline Score page explains what goes in and how the parts combine.

Does Edgewonk have AI?#

We found no AI features on Edgewonk's homepage, pricing page or 2026 changelog. Limbix includes NEX on Pro and Ultimate. NEX reads your journal and describes what you did and what to change about your execution. It never calls a market, and Limbix can't place or cancel an order.
