Limbix vs TradeZella: An Honest Comparison (2026)
Limbix vs TradeZella: TradeZella offers broker sync, replay and AI agents. Limbix scores the rules you kept and the risk you took, not your P&L.
Limbix vs TradeZella: the short answer#
Limbix vs TradeZella comes down to what you want measured. TradeZella is the broader tool: 500+ broker and prop firm syncs, replay, backtesting, AI agents and five markets. Limbix is narrower and pre-launch: it scores whether you followed your own rules and controlled risk, not what you made.
Competitor facts checked on 28 September 2026, on TradeZella's own pages and its Trustpilot profile. Prices are as shown that day, in US dollars, before tax.

Discipline and trading psychology#
Limbix scores rules, not results. Your Discipline Score is the share of your own playbook rules you followed, capped by your Risk Score. A playbook is a written setup with the rules you'll be graded on. A trade with no playbook is an impulsive trade, and it's charged phantom checks that all count as failed, so skipping your plan can't flatter the number.
TradeZella's Zella Score is a performance score. TradeZella describes it as a 0–100 metric "factoring in profitability, risk management, consistency, and discipline beyond just P&L". Its help centre publishes the weights: profit factor 25%, average win/loss 20%, max drawdown 20%, win % 15%, recovery factor 10% and consistency 10% (Zella Score article). Every input is an outcome. None of them is whether you followed a rule.
That difference matters in a lucky month. Break your rules, catch a trend, and an outcome score rises. Your Discipline Score doesn't, because P&L isn't one of its inputs.
Credit where due: TradeZella publishes its exact weights. Limbix explains what goes into each score, what's left out and how the parts combine; the exact calibration is published once the method is validated. The difference between the two is what they measure, not how much is on the page.
Both track rules and mistakes, in different ways. TradeZella offers playbooks and "checklists, routines, and progress tracking to build the discipline", custom tags for "setups/emotions/mistakes", and AI "Behavior & tilt detection". Limbix runs eight mistake detectors on every trade, such as revenge trades and oversized positions, each a fixed rule the docs explain in plain words. FOMO and a moved stop are yours to tag: Limbix doesn't guess at your mood.
One honest limit: rule checks depend on you. A written rule counts as followed unless you mark it as violated. Your playbook's risk parameters (max risk per trade, minimum R:R, max hold) are different: Risk Rule Adherence checks them from the trade itself.
Risk management#
Limbix gives risk its own score. The Risk Score rates how survivable your trading was over the last 30 days, from four components: Risk Consistency, Loss Containment, Exposure Discipline and Risk Rule Adherence. It can't sit far above your weakest one. None of them moves because a trade won.
TradeZella tracks risk inside other features. It tracks R-multiples, an R-multiple being a result measured in units of the risk you planned. Its Risk Management Agent follows "daily DD, position size, R-multiple and consecutive losses", and reports include "Avg Daily Drawdown". We found no standalone risk score: max drawdown is a 20% input to the Zella Score.
In Limbix, R-multiple needs a stop on the trade. Without stops, both R and most of the Risk Score stay blank rather than guess.
AI coach#
NEX describes your record. NEX reads your trades, playbooks, check-ins and notebook, and answers with the same formulas as your dashboard. It proposes changes to your journal and writes nothing until you confirm. It never calls a market, and Limbix has read-only access: it can't place, modify or cancel an order. Pro includes 50 requests a month. Ultimate is unlimited (fair use). Essential has no NEX.
Zella AI is framed as a partner that plans. TradeZella's homepage says its AI "builds your game plan" and is "Trained on 20.2B trades". Its help centre says it analyses trades, builds strategies, manages rules and checklists, and creates plans and session reviews (What is Zella AI). The same article says "nothing it says is financial advice" and "It can make mistakes." Plans include 500, 1,500 or 3,000 AI credits a month, and Zella Agents (Habit, Risk Management, Sentiment, Custom) come with Pro and Ultra.
So the two do different jobs. Zella AI does more: plans, strategies, backtest reviews. NEX is kept to one job on purpose: tell you what you did and what to change about your execution.
Prop firm tracking#
TradeZella's PropFirm Sync. TradeZella says it can "Track profit targets, daily drawdown, and consistency rules in real time across FTMO, TopStep, Apex, and 12 more", with "Pass-rate forecasting". It tracks "every account, every fee, and every payout", and the pricing page includes it on every plan. Its help centre calls it "currently a new feature". Because it runs on broker sync, it's live. That's a real advantage.
Limbix's Prop Hub. Prop Hub seeds firm rules for FTMO, Topstep, Apex, FundedNext and TradeDay, among others, or you enter a custom firm. Its Rule monitor shows each firm rule as Breach, Watch or OK. The buffer-to-loss ratio shows how many of your own average losing trades each account can absorb. You log payouts, fees, resets and add-ons, and see pass rate and ROI per firm.
A payout that would drop you under the safety net gets a warning and a safe amount, never a refusal. Prop Hub needs Pro (up to 5 prop accounts) or Ultimate (unlimited). Its numbers are only as current as your last import.
Import and broker sync#
This is TradeZella's clearest lead. It lists "500+ brokers & prop firms" with "Real-time sync (no refresh)", plus file upload and manual entry (trading journal page). It covers stocks, options, futures, forex and crypto.
Limbix doesn't sync with any broker yet: broker auto-sync is coming soon. Today you import a file from Tradovate, TradingView Paper Trading or MetaTrader 5, which map automatically. Interactive Brokers, ThinkorSwim and TradeZero files import their futures and FX rows only. Any other CSV can be mapped by hand. Limbix takes futures and forex/CFD trades only: no stocks, options or crypto yet. Re-importing a file never duplicates a trade.
Analytics, replay and backtesting#
TradeZella lists "300+ drilled-down reports", backtesting with "Tick-level historical data" and "Bar-by-bar replay". Trade replay and automated AI backtests (10 or 100 a month) come with Pro and Ultra. It also has community rooms, "Mentor mode" and courses.
Limbix has no replay, no backtesting and no community features. What it has is aimed at the question "is the problem my strategy, or me?". Reports covers a period, with breakdowns and a P&L calendar. Analytics drills down to the trades behind any number, maps P&L by emotion and ranks mistakes by what they cost. Each trade's price chart shows MFE and MAE: how far price went for and against you while you were in.
Limbix has no native mobile app. It runs in your browser. A mobile app isn't listed on TradeZella's pricing page or homepage.
Price#
TradeZella's pricing page, checked on 28 September 2026:
| TradeZella plan | Monthly | Billed annually | Headline limits |
|---|---|---|---|
| Essential | $35 | $26/month ($315/year) | 1 trading account connection, 500 AI credits, 10 strategies, no trade replay or AI agents |
| Pro | $59 | $44/month ($531/year) | Up to 50 accounts, 1,500 AI credits, trade replay, Zella Agents |
| Ultra | $99 | $74/month ($891/year) | Unlimited accounts, 3,000 AI credits, 100 AI backtests a month, priority support |
The pricing page lists no free plan or trial, though a button on another page reads "Start free". TradeZella's entry plan shares its name with Limbix's: TradeZella Essential and Limbix Essential are different plans.
Who Limbix is best for#
- Futures and forex traders whose losses come from breaking their own rules, not from a missing setup.
- Traders who want to know what their score measures. The docs explain what goes into the Discipline and Risk Scores, what's left out and how the parts combine.
- Prop traders who want breach distance in their own terms: how many average losses an account can take, plus fees and payouts in one ledger.
- Traders who want an AI that describes, not directs. NEX reads your record and never calls a market.
- Traders happy to import a file while broker auto-sync is still coming.
Who TradeZella is best for#
- Stock, options and crypto traders. Limbix can't journal those yet. TradeZella can.
- Anyone who needs broker sync today. Its 500+ integrations are its strongest practical advantage.
- Traders who practise with replay and backtesting. Limbix has neither.
- Traders who want a community, mentors or courses in the same tool, through Spaces and Zella University.
- Prop traders who want live rule tracking from synced accounts, via PropFirm Sync.
- Anyone who wants a proven product. TradeZella has 4.8/5 from 1,034 reviews on Trustpilot (28 September 2026). Limbix is pre-launch.
Switching from TradeZella to Limbix#
Limbix doesn't read a TradeZella export. Go back to the source instead: your broker's own file. Limbix imports executions, fees, and resting stop and limit orders where the file has them. Tags, notes, screenshots and playbooks don't carry over, so download what you want to keep from TradeZella before you cancel.
Check your markets
Limbix takes futures and forex/CFD trades only. Stock, options and crypto trades have nowhere to go yet.
Set your timezone and account
Set your timezone in Settings › Profile, so trades land on the right trading day. Add a futures or forex account under Settings › Trading accounts. For a prop account, create it in Prop Hub instead.
Rebuild your playbooks first
Write each TradeZella playbook as a Limbix playbook, with rules you can answer yes or no. Essential allows 3 playbooks. Doing this first lets you link every trade as it comes in.
Export from your broker
Tradovate CSV, TradingView Paper Trading order history CSV and MetaTrader 5 HTML history map automatically. Interactive Brokers, ThinkorSwim and TradeZero CSVs import their futures and FX rows. For any other platform, export a CSV with one row per fill or order. See import formats.
Import and link playbooks
Open Add trades, pick the account under IMPORT INTO and drop the file. Map columns if asked, click Continue to playbook, link each trade to its playbook, then click Confirm import.
Add stops where they're missing
R and most of the Risk Score need a stop on each trade. Add a stop and target to trades that came in without one.
To run both journals while you decide, re-export from your broker each week and import again. Trades already in Limbix are skipped as duplicates.
Frequently asked questions#
Is TradeZella worth it?#
It depends on what you need. If you want broker sync, replay, backtesting and five markets in one tool, TradeZella covers a lot, and it has 4.8/5 from 1,034 reviews on Trustpilot (28 September 2026). If your real problem is breaking your own rules, note that its Zella Score is built from six outcome metrics and none of them is rule adherence.
What is a good TradeZella alternative for prop traders?#
Limbix's Prop Hub tracks firm rules, breach distance, fees, resets and payouts, and shows how many of your average losses each account can absorb. It's on Pro and Ultimate. The trade-off: TradeZella's PropFirm Sync updates live from broker sync, while Limbix's updates when you import a file. Limbix handles futures and forex prop accounts only.
What is the Zella Score based on?#
TradeZella's help centre lists six weighted inputs: profit factor 25%, average win/loss 20%, max drawdown 20%, win % 15%, recovery factor 10% and consistency 10%. All six measure results. Limbix's Discipline Score measures something else: the share of your own rules you followed, capped by a Risk Score built from what you controlled.
Does Limbix sync with brokers like TradeZella?#
Not yet. Broker auto-sync is coming soon in Limbix. Today you import a file from Tradovate, TradingView Paper Trading, MetaTrader 5, Interactive Brokers, ThinkorSwim or TradeZero, or map any CSV. Re-importing is safe, because duplicates are skipped, so a weekly export works as a manual sync. TradeZella lists 500+ broker and prop firm integrations.
Can I move my TradeZella trades to Limbix?#
Your trades, yes, from their source. Export your history from your broker and import it into Limbix, as long as it's futures or forex/CFD. Limbix doesn't read a TradeZella export, and tags, notes and screenshots don't transfer. Rebuild your playbooks first, so each imported trade can be linked to its plan. The switching steps above walk through it.
