Limbix vs Tradervue: the short answer#

Limbix vs Tradervue is a choice between two different jobs. Tradervue is a mature, chart-first journal for US stocks, options, futures and forex, with deep reports, sharing and a free plan. Limbix is pre-launch and futures and forex only, but it scores the rules you kept and the risk you took, and adds an AI coach.

Competitor facts checked on 28 September 2026, on Tradervue's own pages and its Trustpilot profile. Prices are as shown that day, in US dollars, before tax.

Discipline and trading psychology#

Limbix is built around your rules. A playbook is a written setup with the rules you'll be graded on. You link each trade to one, and your Discipline Score is the share of those rules you followed, capped by your Risk Score. A trade with no playbook is an impulsive trade and counts as failed checks, so skipping the plan can't flatter the score.

Tradervue is built around your trades. We found no discipline or behaviour score on its homepage or pricing page. Rule or playbook adherence tracking isn't listed on its site. What it offers is tagging and filtering: you can create any tag, including for setups, mistakes or emotions, and slice reports by it.

Tags answer "how did my breakout trades do?". A rule score answers "did I follow the breakout rules?". Limbix also runs eight automatic mistake detectors, such as revenge trades and overtrading, each a fixed rule the docs explain in plain words.

One honest limit: in Limbix a written rule counts as followed unless you mark it as violated, so the score is only as honest as your marking. Your playbook's risk parameters (max risk per trade, minimum R:R, max hold) are different: Risk Rule Adherence checks them from the trade itself.

Risk management#

Tradervue lists "risk tracking and reporting" on its paid plans, with MFE/MAE, exit analysis against the best exits, drawdown analysis and profit factor (homepage). MFE and MAE are how far price moved for and against you while the trade was open. R-multiple reporting isn't listed on the pages we checked.

Limbix shows MFE and MAE on each trade's price chart. It adds a Risk Score over the last 30 days, from four components you controlled: Risk Consistency, Loss Containment, Exposure Discipline and Risk Rule Adherence. Every trade with a stop gets an R-multiple: its result in units of the risk you planned.

AI coach#

Tradervue has no AI. That's not our reading: Tradervue's own 2026 article lists it as a con, "No AI-powered insights (unlike TraderSync or TradesViz)".

Limbix includes NEX, an AI coach that reads your trades, playbooks, check-ins and notebook. It answers with the same formulas as your dashboard and proposes journal changes that you confirm. It never calls a market, and Limbix can't place, modify or cancel an order. Pro includes 50 requests a month, and Ultimate is unlimited (fair use). Essential has no NEX.

If you don't want AI in your journal, that's a point for Tradervue, not against it.

Prop firm tracking#

We found no prop evaluation tracking on Tradervue's site: no drawdown or daily loss rules, and no payout ledger. Its "Trading Firms" offering is something else: a firm-branded instance with an admin panel, groups and consolidated billing, for trading firms that run their own traders.

Limbix's Prop Hub is built for evaluation accounts. It seeds rules for FTMO, Topstep, Apex, FundedNext and TradeDay, among others. Its Rule monitor marks each rule Breach, Watch or OK, and the buffer-to-loss ratio shows how many average losing trades an account can absorb. You log fees, resets and payouts, and see pass rate and ROI per firm. Prop Hub needs Pro (up to 5 prop accounts) or Ultimate (unlimited).

Import and broker sync#

Tradervue "connects directly to your brokerage account via API integration", though "Broker sync may not be available with all brokers." Its pages give different counts, from "80+ trading platform integrations" to "over 200+ brokers". CSV and Excel upload works too (help).

On markets, "Equities and options traded on U.S. markets are supported", along with futures and forex. For crypto it takes only CME and CBOE Bitcoin futures.

Limbix has no broker sync yet: broker auto-sync is coming soon. You import a file from Tradovate, TradingView Paper Trading or MetaTrader 5, which map automatically. Interactive Brokers, ThinkorSwim and TradeZero files import their futures and FX rows only. Any other CSV maps by hand. Limbix can't take stock, options or crypto trades yet. That rules it out for most Tradervue users today.

Analytics, replay and sharing#

Tradervue's paid plans list "100+ advanced reports", MFE/MAE, exit analysis and export to Excel. Gold adds commission and fee support and liquidity reports (pricing). Trades are shown on multi-timeframe price charts. You can share trades with the community, with P&L optional on paid plans, and paid plans include mentoring.

Limbix's Reports cover a period with breakdowns, two-period comparison and a P&L calendar. Analytics drills down to the trades behind any number, maps P&L by emotion and ranks mistakes by what they cost. Limbix has no community, sharing or mentor features.

Neither lists replay or backtesting: Limbix has none, and we found none on Tradervue's site. Limbix has no native mobile app, and none is listed in Tradervue's FAQ.

Price#

Tradervue's live pricing page is at /site/pricing/. On 28 September 2026 it showed:

Silver$29.95Unlimited trades, broker import, 100+ reports, MFE/MAE, sharing, mentoring, risk reports, 1 GB image storage

Who Limbix is best for#

  • Futures and forex traders who want a score for the rules they kept, not only a report of what they made.
  • Traders who want risk measured as its own number, from sizing, stops, daily exposure and playbook risk rules.
  • Prop traders who need firm rules, breach distance, fees and payouts in one place.
  • Traders who want an AI coach that reads their journal and never calls a market.

Who Tradervue is best for#

Switching from Tradervue to Limbix#

First, check your markets. If your Tradervue history is US stocks or options, Limbix can't import it yet. If it's futures or forex, go back to your broker's own file: Limbix reads broker exports, not a Tradervue export.

Tradervue's paid plans include export to Excel. Keep that export for your notes and tags, which don't transfer. Limbix's CSV mapper needs one row per fill or order, with symbol, date, side, price, quantity and status. A file with one row per finished trade won't map cleanly.

  1. Set your timezone and account

Set your timezone in Settings › Profile, then add a futures or forex account under Settings › Trading accounts.

  2. Turn your setup tags into playbooks

For each setup tag you used in Tradervue, create a playbook and write its rules so each one can be answered yes or no. Essential allows 3 playbooks.

  3. Export from your broker

Tradovate CSV, TradingView Paper Trading order history CSV and MetaTrader 5 HTML history map automatically. Interactive Brokers, ThinkorSwim and TradeZero CSVs import their futures and FX rows. See import formats.

  4. Import and link playbooks

Open Add trades, pick the account under IMPORT INTO and drop the file. Map columns if asked, click Continue to playbook, link each trade, then click Confirm import.

  5. Add stops where they're missing

R and most of the Risk Score need a stop on each trade. Add a stop and target where the file had none.

Importing an overlapping date range later is safe. Trades already in Limbix are skipped as duplicates.

Frequently asked questions#

Is Tradervue still worth it in 2026?#

For US stock and options day traders who want a chart-first journal with deep reports, it's a mature option with a free plan to try. It has no AI, by its own account, and no prop evaluation tracking or rule score listed. If those matter to you, and you trade futures or forex, compare it with Limbix.

Does Tradervue have AI?#

No. Tradervue's own 2026 article on trading journals lists "No AI-powered insights (unlike TraderSync or TradesViz)" as a con. Limbix includes NEX on Pro and Ultimate. NEX reads your journal and tells you what you did and what to change about your execution. It never calls a market or touches an order.

Is Tradervue free?#

Tradervue has a free plan with a monthly trade limit. Its own pages disagree on the number: the quota help page says 30 trades a calendar month, while the FAQ and a 2026 blog post say 100. Paid plans start at $29.95 a month for Silver.

What is a good Tradervue alternative for futures traders?#

If you trade futures and want your discipline measured, Limbix is built for you: playbooks linked per trade, a Discipline Score and Risk Score whose inputs are explained, and Prop Hub for evaluations. Tradovate CSVs import automatically. The trade-off is that Limbix has no broker sync yet, and its pricing isn't public.

Does Tradervue track prop firm rules?#

We found no prop evaluation tracking on Tradervue's site: no drawdown or daily loss rules and no payout tracking. Its Trading Firms offering gives a firm its own branded Tradervue instance. Limbix's Prop Hub tracks firm rules, breach distance, fees and payouts on Pro and Ultimate.
