Discipline and trading psychology#

Edgyx and Limbix start from the same belief: trading goes wrong in the head before it goes wrong on the chart. Edgyx describes itself as "the first AI-powered trading journal that puts psychology at the center". Both give you a 0–100 discipline number. They differ in what you can see behind it.

Edgyx's Ora Score. Edgyx rates discipline with its Ora Score. When we checked, we couldn't find its formula on Edgyx's site. You can build "rule-based trading plans with entry/exit checklists" that "Track compliance". Its site doesn't say how a trade taken outside any plan is counted.

Limbix's Discipline Score. The Discipline Score page explains what goes in: rules followed divided by rule checks made, capped by a ceiling from your Risk Score. The exact calibration of that cap is published once the method is validated. A playbook is a written setup with the rules you'll be graded on. A trade with no playbook is an impulsive trade and is charged phantom checks, all failed. So dropping your plans can never raise the score.

Biases and mistakes. Edgyx detects "12+ cognitive biases", such as FOMO, overconfidence and revenge trading, on Premium and Elite (pricing). It also has per-trade emotion tags and a daily mental check-in on Premium and Elite. Limbix runs eight mistake detectors, each a fixed rule the docs explain in plain words. It deliberately doesn't auto-detect FOMO or a moved stop. Those are yours to tag, because a rule can't see your mood.

One honest limit: in Limbix a written rule counts as followed unless you mark it as violated, so the score is only as honest as your marking. Your playbook's risk parameters (max risk per trade, minimum R:R, max hold) are different: Risk Rule Adherence checks them from the trade itself.

Risk management#

Edgyx lists position size, R:R and risk calculators. We found no R-multiple analytics, drawdown module or risk score described on its site.

Limbix measures risk after the fact, from your own trades. Every trade with a stop gets an R-multiple: its result in units of the risk you planned. The Risk Score rates the last 30 days from Risk Consistency, Loss Containment, Exposure Discipline and Risk Rule Adherence. It then caps your Discipline Score, so following every rule while sizing wildly doesn't read as discipline.

AI coach#

Ora. Edgyx's homepage says: "Chat with Ora — Real conversations about your trading. Ask questions, get advice". Ora writes trade notes and trading plan suggestions on every plan, and daily, weekly and monthly summaries on Premium and Elite (pricing). Chat allows 50 messages on Lite, 100 on Premium and unlimited on Elite, with a larger AI model on each higher plan (pricing). Edgyx's homepage also states that "Traders improve their win rate by 23% on average in 3 months". We found no study cited for that figure.

NEX. NEX reads your trades, playbooks, check-ins and notebook, and answers with the same formulas as your dashboard. It describes what you did and what to change about your execution. It doesn't give advice about markets: ask it what to buy or where to get in, and it declines. Limbix can't place, modify or cancel an order, and it makes no claims about your future results. Pro includes 50 requests a month, and Ultimate is unlimited (fair use). Essential has no NEX.

The two coaches are built for different promises. Ora is framed as an adviser. NEX is kept to your own record, on purpose.

Prop firm tracking#

Edgyx imports FTMO, Apex and TopStepX trades manually (pricing), and "Prop Firm Rules" appears as a label in its feature list. We found no drawdown or daily loss rule tracking and no payout tracking described.

Limbix's Prop Hub seeds rules for FTMO, Topstep, Apex, FundedNext and TradeDay, among others, or you enter a custom firm. The Rule monitor marks each rule Breach, Watch or OK. The buffer-to-loss ratio shows how many of your average losses an account can take before a breach. You log fees, resets and payouts, and see pass rate and ROI per firm. Prop Hub needs Pro (up to 5 prop accounts) or Ultimate (unlimited).

Import and broker sync#

Edgyx is ahead here. It syncs cTrader natively, and MetaTrader 4 and 5 through a free Expert Advisor you run yourself or a paid cloud connection (+€12 a month, one included on Premium and two on Elite). TradingView connects by webhooks. CSV and Excel imports are capped at 100 trades per import on Lite and 500 on Premium (pricing). Its site is built around forex and CFDs.

Limbix has no broker sync yet: broker auto-sync is coming soon. You import a file. MetaTrader 5 HTML history, Tradovate CSV and TradingView Paper Trading CSV map automatically. Interactive Brokers, ThinkorSwim and TradeZero files import their futures and FX rows only. Any other CSV maps by hand. Limbix has no importer for cTrader or MetaTrader 4, and it takes futures and forex/CFD only.

Analytics, backtesting and community#

Edgyx does more around the journal. It offers "Advanced TradingView backtesting": unlimited on Lite and Elite, 100 a month on Premium. It has an economic calendar and news alerts, heatmaps and pair correlation on higher plans, and a community with a feed, follows, comments, a leaderboard, private rooms and Discord on every plan (pricing). Mobile apps are listed as a feature, though we found no app-store links.

Limbix has no backtesting, community or native mobile app. It runs in your browser. Reports cover a period with breakdowns and a P&L calendar. Analytics drills down to the trades behind any number, maps P&L by emotion and ranks mistakes by what they cost. Each trade's price chart shows MFE and MAE.

Lite€16.99€14.44/month (€173.30/year)3 portfolios, 100 trades per import, 365-day data retention, PDF export only
Premium€29.99€25.49/month (€305.90/year)5 portfolios, bias detection, daily check-in, 1 MT4/MT5 cloud sync, CSV export
Elite€49.99€42.49/month (€509.90/year)Unlimited portfolios and imports, unlimited Ora, 2 MT4/MT5 cloud syncs, Excel export

The annual discount works out at 15%. Edgyx's pages disagree on the trial: a 3-day trial on the homepage and pricing page, a 7-day trial with no card on the about page and in the terms. The pricing page also notes that its limits "peuvent être mises à jour par l'administrateur": they may be updated by the administrator.

Who Limbix is best for#

  • Traders who want to know what their discipline score measures: what goes in, what's left out and how the parts combine.
  • Traders who want an AI that describes, not advises: NEX reads your record and never calls a market.
  • Prop traders, especially futures traders, who need firm rules, breach distance, fees and payouts tracked.
  • Futures traders on Tradovate or TradingView Paper Trading, whose files import automatically.

Who Edgyx is best for#

  • Forex and CFD traders on MetaTrader or cTrader who want sync today, not a file import.
  • Traders who want a community in the journal: feed, leaderboard, private rooms and Discord.
  • Traders who backtest on TradingView and want it in the same app.
  • French-speaking traders. Edgyx is a French company with a French-first site (terms).
  • Anyone who wants a live product now. Edgyx has 4.5/5 from 14 reviews on Trustpilot (28 August 2026). Limbix is pre-launch.

Switching from Edgyx to Limbix#

Limbix doesn't read an Edgyx export. Import from your trading platform instead. On MetaTrader 5, that's one file: the account history report saved as HTML. Edgyx exports CSV on Premium and Elite and PDF only on Lite (pricing), so download what you want to keep before you cancel. Notes, tags, emotions and screenshots don't transfer.

  1. Check your platform

Limbix auto-maps MetaTrader 5 HTML history. It has no importer for cTrader or MetaTrader 4. If your platform can export a CSV with one row per fill or order, you can map it by hand.

  2. Set your timezone and account

Set your timezone in Settings › Profile. Add a Forex / CFD account under Settings › Trading accounts, or create prop accounts in Prop Hub.

  3. Turn your trading plans into playbooks

For each Edgyx trading plan, create a playbook with the same checklist, each rule answerable yes or no. Essential allows 3 playbooks.

  4. Import and link playbooks

Open Add trades, pick the account under IMPORT INTO and drop the file. Click Continue to playbook, link each trade, then click Confirm import. Forex symbols must be in the instrument list.

  5. Add stops where they're missing

R and most of the Risk Score need a stop. Add a stop and target where the file had none.

Importing an overlapping date range later is safe. Trades already in Limbix are skipped as duplicates.

Frequently asked questions#

Is Edgyx a good trading journal?#

For forex and CFD traders on MetaTrader or cTrader who want sync, an AI coach, backtesting and a community in one app, Edgyx covers a lot. It has 4.5/5 from 14 reviews on Trustpilot (28 August 2026). Check two things first: how its Ora Score is calculated isn't described on its site, and its pages disagree on the trial length.

What is the Edgyx Ora Score?#

The Ora Score is Edgyx's 0–100 discipline rating, part of the psychology features on its about page. When we checked, how it's calculated wasn't described on Edgyx's site. Limbix's Discipline Score is also 0–100, and the docs explain what goes into it: rules followed divided by rule checks, capped by your Risk Score. The exact calibration of the cap is published once the method is validated.

How much does Edgyx cost?#

On 28 August 2026, Edgyx's pricing page listed Lite at €16.99, Premium at €29.99 and Elite at €49.99 a month, with 15% off annual billing. A MetaTrader cloud connection is a €12-a-month add-on, with one included on Premium and two on Elite. There's no free plan. Limbix's prices aren't public yet; see Plans.

Does Edgyx track prop firm rules?#

Edgyx imports FTMO, Apex and TopStepX trades manually (pricing), but we found no drawdown, daily loss or payout tracking described on its site. Limbix's Prop Hub tracks each firm's rules, your buffer in average losses, and your fees and payouts, on Pro and Ultimate.

Does Edgyx's AI give trading advice?#

Edgyx's own homepage invites you to "Ask questions, get advice" from Ora, and Ora suggests trading plans. Limbix's NEX works differently: it describes your past trading and what to change about your execution, never what to trade. Limbix is a journaling and analytics tool, and nothing in it is financial advice.
