ROI per Size
ProROI per size is what each prop account size paid you, minus what it cost, as a share of the cost, with your pass rate at each size. Find the size that pays.
ROI per size is the return on what you spent at each prop account size, across every firm. Limbix groups your accounts by size, then takes paid payouts minus challenge costs, divided by costs. Each size also shows its attempts and pass rate, so you can see where your trading holds up and where it doesn't.
How it's calculated#
- Earned
- Payouts marked Paid on accounts of this size, at your share after the profit split.
- Spent
- Purchase prices plus every reset, add-on, activation fee and other cost logged on accounts of this size.
src/lib/prop-hub.tsIt is the same arithmetic as ROI per firm, grouped by the Account size you entered for each account instead of by firm. Sizes are pooled across firms: a €25K account at one firm and a €25K account at another share a row.
Each row carries three more figures:
| Column | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Size | The account size. |
| Attempts | One chip per account: passed, failed, then live. |
| Pass rate | Passed ÷ resolved at this size, with "N of M" under it. Reads live when nothing at this size has finished. |
| ROI | The formula above. "—" when nothing was spent at this size. |
Every account counts toward spent and earned, whatever its status. A funded account's payouts count under its own size.
Worked example#
You have traded two sizes across two firms.
| Size | Attempts | Spent | Earned | Pass rate | ROI |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| €100K | 2 evaluations, both breached | €1,000 | €0 | 0% · 0 of 2 | −100% |
| €25K | 3 evaluations (2 passed, 1 breached) and 2 funded accounts | €450 | €1,350 | 67% · 2 of 3 | +200% |
- €25K: (€1,350 − €450) ÷ €450 × 100 = +200%
- €100K: (€0 − €1,000) ÷ €1,000 × 100 = −100%
- €25K pass rate: 2 passed ÷ 3 resolved = 66.7%, shown as 67%. The two funded accounts are still active, so they are live and outside the pass rate. Their payouts still count as earned.
The €25K row is marked Best size. Together the two sizes cost €1,450 and returned €1,350: a net prop P&L of −€100. The €100K attempts ate the €25K profits.
When it shows "—"#
- Nothing spent at a size. ROI divides by spend, so a size with no recorded cost shows "—", not 0%.
- Nothing resolved at a size. The Pass rate column reads live. A size whose attempts are all still running has not failed them.
- No accounts yet. The By account size panel says No challenge spend recorded yet.
- Essential plan. Prop Hub is part of Pro and Ultimate. See plans.
What's a good ROI per size?#
Limbix sets no bands. As with any ROI, above 0% means that size paid you more than it cost, and −100% means nothing came back.
Best size is chosen by pass rate, not by ROI. It is the size with the highest pass rate among sizes with at least one resolved attempt. If no size has passed anything, the label reads Top size by pass rate and nothing is highlighted, because a 0% leader is not a leader.
Read every row with its Attempts. A size with one attempt tells you little, whichever way it went.
How to improve it#
This metric compares your own record across sizes. Make the record complete, then read it.
- Enter the right account size. Rows group on the Account size field. A typo creates a row of its own. See adding an account.
- Log every cost and payout on its account. A payout logged on the wrong account lands on the wrong size. See fees, resets and add-ons and logging a payout.
- Compare risk at each size. A bigger account often means bigger positions, and a bigger average loser. Check your buffer-to-loss ratio and Risk Score when a larger size fails where a smaller one passes.
- Read it with firm ROI. A size can look weak because of one firm's rules. ROI per firm separates the two.
Where you'll see it#
- ROI tab (
/prop/roi): the By account size panel, captioned "Pass rate · ROI", with columns Size, Attempts, Pass rate and ROI. The lead shows Best size or Top size by pass rate. See ROI in the Prop Hub guide. - Adding an account: when you pick a challenge size, the wizard can quote your pass rate at that size, or at the size you know best, from these same rows.

Frequently asked questions#
Which prop account size is best for me?#
Your own record answers that better than any rule of thumb. The By account size panel shows, for each size you have traded, how many attempts you made, how many passed, and what the size returned on what you spent. Look for the size with enough attempts to trust and a positive ROI. Limbix shows your history. It doesn't recommend which challenge to buy.
Why is "Best size" not the size with the highest ROI?#
Because Limbix picks it by pass rate: the size with the highest pass rate among those with at least one finished attempt. A size can have a high ROI from one lucky payout and a poor pass rate. The ROI column sits beside it, so you can see both. When no size has passed anything, the label changes to Top size by pass rate.
Are account sizes from different firms combined?#
Yes. The size panel groups every account by its Account size figure, whatever the firm. A €50K challenge at two different firms shares one row. To see a size at one firm only, compare it with the By firm panel, or with ROI per firm, which groups the same accounts by firm instead.
Do funded accounts count toward ROI per size?#
Yes. A funded account's costs and paid payouts count under its own size, the same as an evaluation's. While it is active it appears as a live attempt and stays out of the pass rate. Limbix only lets you log payouts on funded accounts, so all of a row's earned side comes from them.
